Does your skin crawl when you see a spider on the wall or a roach on the kitchen floor? Do you find yourself itching uncontrollably after being touched by a fly or mosquito? Do you ever lie awake half the night because you felt something delicately, carefully crawling across your feet beneath the sheets?

Then this Creeptych of three bug-ridden stories is for you!

Bad Day: Paul Hughes had a really bad day. He lost his job, his wife and then after getting bit by a bug . . . his life. Compared to what happens to his neighbors after the Luna Roaches come to town, his day wasn’t so bad at all. At least he died. . . .

Eardrum Buzz: Wes couldn’t get enough of the music of Eardrum Buzz’s first disc, Misery Machine; the drone of their guitars was hypnotizing. But when he is brought into the band’s inner circle to join The Swarm, he soon has the music within him. Terrifyingly deep within him. . . .

Violet Lagoon: When a quartet of co-eds decide to reenact The Blue Lagoon on an abandoned Florida Key, they find more than just sex and sand is on the agenda. Stings turn out to play a part in their weekend as well. Lots and lots of stings. But those were just the beginning of the pain. . . .

He will capture her, lock in his fruit cellar, and tame her, civilize her. To this end he’ll enlist his long-suffering wife Belle, his teenage son and daughter Brian and Peg, and even his little girl Darlin’, to aid him.

So the question becomes, who is more savage?

The hunter or the game?

The Undead Rat’s Note: My sources are conflicting about the number of stories contained in this work but after careful consideration, my best guess is that the limited edition hardcover book has 13 and the Trade paperback will have only 10. I was only able to get the titles of the horror short stories in the trade paperback. Of course, this is speculation. I could be wrong and there is only 10 core stories in both books with an extra story in the hardcover edition.

Hardcover Only Content:

  • A frontispiece by Mark Maddox
  • An exclusive interview with the author
  • And a brand new 1,500-word short story

Table of Contents:

  • Unearthly Powers: Prelude to a Nocturne
  • Full Throttle
  • Pavlov’s Wristwatch
  • Churches of Desire
  • Memories of Lydia, Leaving
  • Blackpool Rock
  • Ponce de Leon Avenue
  • Still Life with Peckerwood
  • Love Sells the Proud Heart’s Citadel to Fate
  • A Mother Cries at Midnight

When a gorgeous, three hundred year old vampire is kidnapped from her lover’s top floor, high-security suite, the city’s underground community is shaken.

The abduction seems impossible, and when things seem impossible, there is only one man in the dark, underground society of San Valencez, California who can be trusted to unravel them. Donovan DeChance is a collector of ancient manuscripts and books, a practicing mage, and a private investigator.

Called in to investigate, he soon finds that there is much more to the case than a simple abduction. There will be no ransom, and if he doesn’t prevent an ancient, forbidden ritual from reaching its culmination, far more than a single vampire’s undead life will be at stake.

Donovan, his fiery, sometimes lover Amethyst, and a troop of supporting characters follow the ghostly trail of the kidnapper through a winding maze of intrigue, always a step behind, through magical battles, murders, and confrontations with a rogue band of young vampires intent on beating Donovan at his own game.

Blockade Billy by Stephen King, an original, never-before-published novella that only the King of Horror could have dreamed up!

Even die-hard baseball fans don’t know the true story of William Blakely, but in just a few weeks you’ll be holding this dark tale in your own two hands so you can read it for yourself.

That’s right! This exclusive trade hardcover edition is already rolling at the printer and will be arriving at our warehouse in mid-April. This beautiful hardcover edition also features stunning cover artwork by Glen Orbik and eight gorgeous pieces of interior artwork by Alex McVey.

About the Book: Even the most die-hard baseball fans don’t know the true story of William “Blockade Billy” Blakely. He may have been the greatest player the game has ever seen, but today no one remembers his name. He was the first — and only — player to have his existence completely removed from the record books. Even his team is long forgotten, barely a footnote in the game’s history.

Every effort was made to erase any evidence that William Blakely played professional baseball, and with good reason. Blockade Billy had a secret darker than any pill or injection that might cause a scandal in sports today. His secret was much, much worse . . . and only Stephen King, the most gifted storyteller of our age, can reveal the truth to the world, once and for all.

This original, never-before-published novella represents Stephen King at his very best, and this hardcover edition brings it into print for the very first time.

Horror Mall Note: YES, we WILL have the extra baseball card with our copies!

Food and water are the least of their worries. In these woods a long forgotten god is worshiped. Its followers believe in sacrifice, and Henry and Claire have stumbled into their dark world.
