We’ll end this weekend with a collection of literate horror short stories.
Mr. Gaunt and Other Uneasy Encounters by John Langan is collection of his longer short stories. At the end of the book, he has several pages of story notes that tells the story behind the creation of the story.
As Mr. Langan explains in his story notes, one of goals he has in writing is to examine the classic monster in the horror genre and see if it’s possible to tell a new, fresh story with them.
